Q Do you have a minimum order?
A Yes, 10 small bags of rock salt.

Q Do you supply salt for resale?
A Yes, we have bags designed for resale.

Q What is the weight of a large pack of rock salt?
A These are not sold by weight but they are approximately 23-24kg.

Q What is the weight of a large pack of white salt?
A These are not sold by weight but they are approximately 22-23kg.

Q What is the weight of a bulk bag of rock salt?
A These are not sold by weight but they are approximately 900kg.

Q What is the weight of a bulk bag of white salt?
A These are not sold by weight but they are approximately 850-900kg.

Q Do you supply loose salt?
A Yes, it is possible to a quote for loose salt online or please feel free to call us and place your order.

Q Is the salt ediable / suitable for human consumption?
A No, it is intended only for de-icing and must not be used in the food chain under any circumstances (although it has been tasted in the office, it was salty).

Q Does the price include delivery?
A Yes, the price you see is a delivered price including VAT.

Q Do you deliver Saturdays?
A Yes, although Saturdays incur a £25 sur charge, so many of our customers choose a Friday delivery.

Q Can I specify a time?
A You can specify A.M (before 13:00) or P.M for an extra £10.00, this is over 98% successful.

Q Does the price include VAT?
A Prices quoted are always fully inclusive delivered prices so there are no nasty hidden extras.

Q How much notice do I need to give for delivery?
A As long as your order is received before 2P.M. one day you can have delivery the next, we don't deliver on Sundays or Mondays.

Q Do you deliver to where I live?
A It can snow anywhere so we deliver anywhere! Simply select the postcode where you want the delivery.

Q Will I receive an invoice or receipt?
A The confirmation email is your invoice and receipt. For a VAT recipt please email info@onlinerocksalt.co.uk and include your postcode and order number.

Q How is the rock salt delivered?
A The delivery is made kerb side, using a tail lift offload.

Q Do I have to be home when the delivery is made?
A It can be arranged for the delivery to be left without a signature, we would need prior notice of this.

Q What do I do with the pallet?
A Unfortunately the haulier doesn't re-collect the pallets, so we ask our customers to dispose of the pallet safely.

Q Is rock salt safe?
A Rock Salt is unlikely to cause harmful effect under normal conditions of handling and use.

Q How do I use the product?
A If snow or ice is forecast, spread evenly over the area to be de-iced. This can be repeated as necessary. Rock salt can also be applied directly on top to melt snow and ice.
