Buying Full Loads and Pre-Paid Bulk Options
When you are ready to purchase your loose salt, you can choose between two main options.
You can either order a standard full load of 20 or 30 tonnes, or, if you require hundreds of tonnes, you can pre-buy your stock for easy, ongoing access. This allows you to secure a large quantity at a better price without the risk of running out when the weather hits.
The best part of this arrangement is that we handle the storage for you. Once purchased, your salt is reserved exclusively for you at the source: white salt is stored at Ellesmere Port or Garston Port, and rock salt is kept at the Winsford Mine. This setup gives you the flexibility to collect your salt in smaller amounts as needed throughout the season. You get the total security of a guaranteed winter supply without needing to find space for hundreds of tonnes on your own site.
Collection and Delivery Options
When buying 20 or 30-tonne loads, you have a choice of collection or delivery.
If you choose to collect, you will be provided with a loading number for you or your haulier to quote at the loading site. For white salt, this will be Ellesmere Port or Garston Port, while rock salt is collected from Winsford Mine.
If you choose to have your loose salt delivered, the lead time is generally 2–3 days. A member of our team (or our haulier) will be in touch to discuss the delivery time for your order. We also offer the option to book a specific delivery date, as we understand that many organisations need deliveries to fit around their schedules. This helps to minimise any disruption to your site or operations. Our de-icing specialists are also available if you have any questions and can be easily reached by phone, email, or live chat during our opening hours.
