Robot Palletizer System

The latest innovation at Online Rock Salt has arrived on the yard, a brand new robotic bagging line that will tremendously increase our capacity and help get even more rock salt to those who need it before the cold weather arrives.

How does it work?

First, the rock salt is transported in large heaps via a digger into the hopper. The hopper is the starting point of the process and is where the bagging system draws the rock salt from, ensuring a steady supply is fed through the machine.

The bagging machine is loaded with our own branded packaging, ready for the robot to take one bag at a time and fills approximately 25 kilos of rock salt per bag from the hopper.

The next step is to ensure that the bags are sealed correctly, the now full bags move along the line and are dropped into the sealer. This machine uses heat to pinch and seal the plastic opening together and cut off any excess packaging.

Now that each bag is sealed, they move along the conveyor belt on to the robot palletizer. This machine carefully stacks up to 42 bags upon a wooden pallet.

Each pallet is stacked per order, as not everyone requires a full one. We also selll 1/2 and 1/4 pallets. After each pallet is loaded, it is shrink wrapped in plastic to prevent any bags falling off and sent directly to the customer!
